Sensory Challenge: Can you identify the sea bass fillets enriched with antioxidants? (previous activity European Researchers’ Night 2025) 17 September 2025
Sensory Challenge: Can you identify the sea bass fillets enriched with antioxidants? This preliminary activity for the European Researchers’ Night 2025 will be a scientific tasting session. Participants will evaluate sea bass fillets from fish fed a phytogenic additive with antioxidant properties, supplied by the company Tecnología y Vitaminas SL (Tecnovit). The goal is to assess how this nutraceutical application can improve the quality of the fillets.
The European Researchers’ Night is an annual science outreach event held on the last Friday of September in hundreds of cities across Europe. Funded by the European Commission, its main goal is to bring science closer to the public by showcasing the work of researchers in a fun and accessible way. Through a wide variety of free activities, such as interactive workshops, live experiments, talks with scientists, and lab tours, the event aims to break down barriers between the scientific community and the public. It highlights the positive impact of research on our daily lives and, most importantly, inspires young people to consider a career in science.
