Summary:

The aim of this action is to improve the international positioning of INMAR, so that it becomes a center of reference in marine research studies, aligning with the major thematic areas defined by international, national, and regional policies, attracting human and material resources, and developing quality research that can be transferred to solve the problems and challenges facing society in our time. This improvement is geared towards obtaining the “María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence” accreditation, a seal that would allow the Institute and its activities to take a qualitative leap forward:

  • Objective 1: Consolidation of a track record of excellence in research and efficient management of scientific resources that allows the development of a common strategic program and ensures the generation of value.
  • Objective 2: Development and consolidation of a training program linked to the increase in scientific production and the transfer of INMAR’s findings.
  • Objective 3: Strengthening the staff of research personnel attached to INMAR.
  • Objective 4: Increasing the quality and visibility of the scientific production generated at INMAR, moving towards an open, connected, and internationalized system.
