European Marine Research Network, EuroMarine

EuroMarine is a European network of marine research organizations and institutes designed to foster collaboration and innovation in marine sciences across Europe. Currently, this network comprises more than 50 organizations from over 20 countries.

The EuroMarine consortium is open to both European academic or research organizations active in marine sciences (Full Members) and institutions from outside Europe, particularly from developing countries (Invited Members).

Its mission is to support the identification and early development of emerging scientific topics and their associated methodologies, as well as to promote new services relevant to the marine scientific community. As a collaborative, international, and interdisciplinary network, it plays a crucial role in creating and facilitating funding, training, and networking opportunities for researchers and organizations.

Among its benefits, members can apply for funding to organize Foresight Workshops on emerging research areas. Furthermore, it offers various training and collaboration opportunities, specifically through OYSTER, its network for Early Career Researchers (ECRs). In addition to its research efforts, EuroMarine acts as an advocacy organization for marine sciences, providing expert advice to influence marine policy and governance in Europe.
