Marine Research Institute
The University Marine Research Institute (INMAR) at the University of Cádiz is primarily dedicated to scientific and technical research in coastal areas and the marine environment, from the perspective of various scientific disciplines related to the sea. Its main headquarters is located in the Research Institutes building – INMAR and IVAGRO, on the Puerto Real University Campus of the University of Cádiz.
Who We Are
The University Marine Research Institute consists of a group of researchers from the University of Cádiz dedicated to research and knowledge transfer concerning the coastline and the sea.
Research Areas and Lines
INMAR is organized into five major fields of expertise: marine ecosystems and global change; marine technologies; marine environment protection; sustainable exploitation of marine living resources; and ocean and society.
Research Services
INMAR offers a wide range of services, including environmental chemistry analysis, marine biotechnology services, oceanography and environmental sampling services, as well as various thematic laboratories.
