  • Early Career Researchers (ECRs). A unique opportunity to enhance skills, learn new research techniques or methods, and explore career paths through short-term stays.
  • Senior Researchers/Hosts. An excellent occasion to invite international experts to your group, benefit from specialized knowledge, gain new perspectives, and lay the groundwork for future joint publications.

Programme Features:

  • Duration: 10–60 days.
  • Visiting Researchers (Secondees): Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who are employees of SEA-EU universities.
  • Host Researchers (Hosts): Senior researchers (group leaders and professors) from SEA-EU universities.
  • Funding: Provided by the visiting researcher’s home university.
  • Agreement: Managed under a SEA-EU Secondment Agreement, ensuring the alignment of expectations and responsibilities.

This interactive two-session online workshop supports academics and researchers in integrating Generative AI critically and responsibly across the entire research process—from data acquisition and statistical computation to qualitative coding and interpretation. Grounded in the mechanics of Large Language Models (LLMs), the workshop equips participants with both the practical competencies and the conceptual literacy needed to evaluate AI outputs, navigate methodological and ethical challenges, and align their practice with the European Research Area’s Guidelines on the Responsible Use of Generative AI in Research. Through demonstrations, guided experimentation, and discipline-specific applications, participants will gain the skills to use Generative AI reflexively, ethically, and rigorously within their own research traditions.
