CEI·Mar is a transboundary and international campus driven by the Spanish universities of Cádiz, Málaga, Granada, Huelva, and Almería, alongside the University of the Algarve (Portugal) and Abdelmalek Essaadi University (Morocco). This university aggregation is completed by the leading public marine research organizations in southern Spain: the Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia and the Andalusian Institute of Earth Sciences (both part of CSIC), the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO), the Institute for Research and Training in Agriculture and Fisheries (IFAPA), the Royal Institute and Observatory of the Navy (ROA), the Navy Hydrographic Institute (IHM), the Center for Underwater Archaeology of the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage (CAS-IAPH), and the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology (ARQUA), as well as various innovative companies within the marine and maritime sectors.
The campus is managed through the CEI·Mar Foundation, a public law entity that bridges the academic world with the business and social fabric. Its primary mission is to create an environment of excellence in training, research, and knowledge transfer within the marine-maritime domain. Key services include the funding of projects for young researchers, the organization of specialized courses, and the management of international mobility grants—all aimed at boosting the Blue Economy and the sustainability of marine systems.

*Call for “Grants for Attendance at the V International Congress of Young Marine Researchers, JIS del Mar 2025 (CEIMAR-UHU)”
hese grants are intended to fund part of the expenses derived from the attendance and participation of young researchers in the V International Congress of Young Marine Researchers (JIS del Mar 2025). The event will take place from November 5–7 at the University of Huelva. To be eligible, participants must present research results in the marine field through oral communications or posters, which must be delivered in person.

These grants are designed to support researchers in initiating their research as Principal Investigators (PIs). They are aimed at individuals who have not previously held the status of Principal Investigator in any research or knowledge transfer project.
