Nuclear spectrometry. Determination of radium isotopes
The service for the determination of radium isotopes (223Ra, 224Ra, 226Ra and 228Ra) in groundwater, seawater, or river water.
The following equipment is available for these analyses: Ra isotope measurement equipment in water. RaDeCC. The equipment consists of the following elements:
- RADECC-USB-SBS DCC dual counter.
- Two photomultiplier tube bases model RaDECC- 612 PMT with high-voltage power supply and cables.
- Two scintillation chambers model RaDeCC-SCINT-P5 5’’ PMT.
- Control software installed on PC with RaDeCC storage system ver. 2.6.
- A gas flow system with flowmeters, connectors, tubing, purge valves, and variable speed dual pump.
- A powered 4-port USB hub.
Service location: Nuclear spectrometry laboratory (Andalusian Centre for Marine Studies – CASEM, 2nd floor, pala A. Puerto Real University Campus, University of Cádiz).
