Workshop “Mission Ocean: Scientific Adventure at INMAR” as part of the 2026 Summer Camp “Little Great Scientists” 15 July 2026


The activity consists of a workshop called “Mission Ocean: Scientific Adventure at INMAR“, a series of 7 scientific workshops where participants will discover how INMAR researchers work. They will learn how unmanned underwater vehicles operate and their application in ocean exploration; discover the role of sound in the marine environment through underwater acoustics activities; experiment with virtual reality headsets to step inside laboratories and oceanographic campaigns; play scientific board games; save a sea turtle from plastic pollution; and unleash their creativity through a marine art workshop where they will design new organisms and learn the basic principles of scientific nomenclature.

This activity is part of the 2026 UCA Scientific Summer Camps program, “Little Great Scientists“, an initiative promoted and driven by the Vice-Rectorate for Sustainability and Culture, through the Social and Solidarity Action Unit, together with the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of the University of Cádiz, within the framework of work-life balance actions aimed at the university community.
