Organic pollutants analysis in water samples
The organic pollutants analysis service has advanced technology (mass spectrometry analyzer coupled with ultra-resolution liquid chromatography) for the analysis of organic pollutants in aqueous samples (wastewater, marine and continental waters, etc.). Currently, this service includes two routine methods optimized for the simultaneous analysis of 45 different types of pharmaceutical compounds (analgesics, diuretics, antibiotics, etc.) and 58 different types of pesticides, hydrocarbons and personal care products (organochlorines, organophosphates, PAHs, sunscreen, etc.) all of them determined by mass spectrometry. The service also offers the option of carrying out the complete treatment of samples, necessary for subsequent analysis using the techniques described and the possibility of developing methods for other organic compounds (sweeteners, surfactants, cyanotoxins, etc.) as long as they are in a molecular range between 100 and 1,000 Da (system not valid for large molecules such as proteins).
Service location: INMAR laboratory no. 2 (INMAR/IVAGRO Research Institute Building, ground floor. Puerto Real University Campus, University of Cádiz).
