INMAR has a collection of strains of marine and continental microalgae and cyanobacteria, available to its researchers but also to external users. The phytoplankton strain maintenance and growth service offers safe strains for research and teaching, preparation of culture media and other related services (isolation, culture scaling, etc.). This service offers:

• Inocula of strains from the collection, strains in monoculture, non-annexic.
• Culture media: macronutrients, micronutrients and/or vitamins according to formulation.
• Maintenance of strains in climatic chambers (depending on strain type, nutritional requirements and maintenance time).
• Strain scaling (depending on strain type and nutritional requirements).

Service location: INMAR laboratory no. 1 (INMAR/IVAGRO Research Institute Building, ground floor. Puerto Real University Campus, University of Cádiz).
